Gone, Daddy Gone.

Man, is this an improvement or what? Of course, now our backyard looks like someone threw up a 67-year-old kitchen in it, but I’m assured that this is only a temporary side effect.

demolition II

This room is next to the former/future kitchen, and we figured it could keep the kitchen company during this ordeal. Lots of very important-looking pieces of wood in this room. It is my impression that an unsettling number of them will be in the yard in the not-too-distant future. I have voiced my concerns on this matter and been reassured that the wood is optional, and here only for decorative effect – like a handbag, or my master’s degree.

Great cavernous food room, batman! I hope this isn’t the part where the contractors go to an undisclosed location for an indeterminate amount of time… Can’t wait to see what the new kitchen design looks like.
