Hi Jenn. I know things have been a little slow at work lately. I strongly recommend headphones if you find yourself actually hitting play on this.
So, this song has been in my head for the last five days. I wake up to it, I go up the metro escalator to it, I make tea to it, I fall asleep to it. Haven’t ‘fessed up to the spouse about it yet. Tried telling dad, who agreed that it was likely not a sign of mental health.Haven’t thought of this song in years. Got to know it in high school when a dear friend put it on a mix tape (yes, tape). He made the best mixes. And we’re recently back in touch. Astonishingly, it’s just like the old days. But without the teenage ennui. Now we’ve got mid-30s ennui, which seems somehow more sophisticated.
Dunno how the blighted thing got stuck in my head this time, though. I think it might be the melatonin.

I could think of worse songs to have stuck in your head. This one is awesome!
wow. it’s things like this, you know, it’s your life, and then you forget about it, and why sometimes your sense of humor is out of step with the rest of the world…
behold, the missing frame of reference!
