A new experiment! Kinoki Cleansing Detox Foot Pads

You’ve seen the ads, right? Sickly, fatigued people put on these cleansing foot pads, go to bed, and awake eight hours later refreshed, rejuvenated, revitalized.

Mourka wants to rid herself of harmful toxins.
Mourka wants to rid herself of harmful toxins.

According to the fine people at Kinoki, these foot stickers will suck the toxins right out of you through the soles of your feet. Since (as we all know) toxins are bad, it’s great news that these foot stickers will make such short work of them. The ad tells me how “just like a tree draws energy in and toxins down its trunk, Kinoki foot pads work the same way.” That’s awesome because – you know – I’m just like a tree.

I had to give them a try.

But first, a little research. Naturally, The Tubes are full of skeptics:

Reluctant to give the foot pad people my credit card information and/or mailing address, I waited until I found them where all of those weird products advertised on late-night TV end up: Bed Bath & Beyond. What can I say, I had a coupon burning a hole in my pocket.

So, now I’ve got two batches of patches and I’m rarin’ to go.

Stay tuned for the methodology.

I’m riveted. How will you test pre- and post-sticker toxin levels? Really, I’ll be watching this experiment closely.

I’m deeply troubled by this on many levels.

First, your post implies that you are continuing your deplorable habit of drinking vast quantities of cheap booze at every turn. Need I remind you of that cautionary country and western hit that has guided my own life: “If they took blood from my body/they could put it in a still/If your memory don’t kill/this drinking sure will.”

Second, your post implies that your are willing to spend your money and valuable coupons on the latest medical miracle scam. You COULD be spending that money on better quality booze!!!!!!!! Save the coupons by buying something you really need and Bed, Bath and Beyond Belief, like that grody rug in the kitchen!

Thank you for sharing this. I’ve been doing water detox for the last few years and this is something new. Look forward to trying it out.
