Amateur Science – I guess there’s a term for this
Just learned about the Society for Amateur Scientists – now linked from the sidebar – from this BoingBoing post. I’m totally excited. This might be a good source of ideas, techniques and perhaps equipment notions. Ttough I bet they have more rigorous standards than I do. I mean, I think a fine idea is sawing a frozen lasagna in half with a reciprocating saw.
Speaking of equipment, I was recently reminded of the American Science and Surplus. Things are about to get interesting around here.
Still trying to find a good day to complete the Kinoki experiment. Had to dash out of town to visit some ancient relatives, then came back and fell down the stairs. Have been spending a lot of time since applying arnica and iodine (Spouse swears by the combo) in “Web” patterns for reasons that are not entirely clear to me. So it may be another few days before we get to the foot pads.
