Kicking off the new year right – with Kinoki and more
Just back from a few days in lovely Portland, Maine, where we spent the holiday with some old and wonderful friends. Mostly wonderful, since they’re not that old. We took advantage of the northern climate to try out cross country skiing. Turns out that I am quite bad at it, which will surprise no one who’s met me.
As 2008 draws to a close, I’m setting up the Kinoki foot pad array, and planning to report on the results later in the week.
In other news, I’ve got a list of projects to get 2009 off to a great start, experiment-wise. Topics to include:
- Bottled, tap and Brita water
- Degradability of various plastic grocery bags from different sources
- Shamwow – yeah, you heard me
- Some kind of Chia schema
Am gathering supplies and planning. This is going to be a lot of fun.
Happy New Year everyone!

We are getting older. Mike took Ibuprofen for 2 days after x-skiing.
