Got Balls?

I wasn’t kidding about the Balls in the title. A dear friend was invited to the Neighborhood Inaugural Ball, one of the ten official balls to be hosted by the President-elect. Since she is a sucker for a pretty face (and a free place to stay), she invited me to be her “and guest!” Another friend is threatending to lend me an appallingly stunning dress, despite the fact that she knows I’ll spill wine on it and imbue it with the stench of mediocrity.

The Neighborhood ball is supposed to be “interactive,” so I’m hyperactively shopping for a new cell phone that would allow me to liveblog and/or Tweet from the scene. Please note the new poll.

And just to thank you for sticking with me so far, here is a little bit of nothing. Video of my cat chasing her tail. And it’s not very good video. I really wouldn’t do this to you if I were a better person. At least it’s short.
